MyEye Is Not Downloading a Software Update

Note: Some older OrCam MyEye devices cannot be updated to the latest software version because their hardware is not compatible.

 

 

1. Make Sure the Device Is Connected to WiFi

2. Reboot the Device

  1. Long-press the power button for about 10 seconds until you hear a “beep”.
  2. After rebooting, wait 5 minutes to see if the update begins downloading.

3. Try a Different WiFi Network

Switch to another available WiFi network and attempt the update again.

4. Reset Installation Retries (via the User Menu)

  1. Enter the settings menu.
    Click here for instructions on entering the settings menu on the OrCam MyEye.
  2. Swipe forward until you reach “General Settings Menu” and tap to select.
  3. Swipe forward until you reach “Reset Installation Retries” and tap to select.
  4. Follow the prompts to complete the reset.
