OrCam Read 3/Read 5 is not Connecting to the Magnifier

To connect to the OrCam on-screen Smart Magnifier visit: http://cast.orcam.com/ and follow the instructions to sign in or create an account.

If you are experiencing difficulty connecting to the Magnifier:

Ensure you are using the Google Chrome web browser as this works best with the Magnifier.

Use the "Connect Via WiFi option
- This is third of the 3 option presented, after “Connect via USB” and Upload File".
If the device cannot scan the QR code, make sure that the laser is centered on the center of the QR code and try a few times at different distances, between 6 - 10 inches / 15 - 25 cm.
Make sure that you are connecting to the same WiFi network that your computer is connected to and that it is a 2.4Ghz network
- You may need to contact your Internet Service Provider to confirm that you have a 2.4Ghz WiFi network.
